School Grounds and Facilities

Over the past ten years Waggrakine has experienced steady growth, growing a classroom a year. With increasing student numbers and classrooms comes the need to be vigilant with expanding all the resources available to staff, students and the community.

Over the years school staff, community members, students, a playground committee, a grounds committee, the school board and the P&C have assisted the principal with decisions, busy bees and fundraising to help improve the school grounds and facilities.

We are proud of our collective achievements and additions, including:

• six nature playgrounds
• new swings and playground equipment
• new fencing
• new classrooms
• extensive new shade areas, fixed and semi permanent
• more outdoor tables so all children can eat at tables
• increased and up to date ICT equipment
• new classroom furniture
• new roof to the entire school
• new ceilings in undercover areas
• extensive new drainage to alleviate flooding
• upgraded basketball court surface
• upgraded and increased car parking
• the creation of sensory rooms
• outdoor classroom spaces
• our have a yarn meeting circle
• air conditioning to the entire school
• new signage and logos
• new murals and PBS messages
• football goal posts
