Humanities and Social Sciences is the study of human behaviour and interaction in social, cultural, environmental, economic and political contexts. Humanities and Social Sciences teaches our children about people, places, the geography and history, the cultures and religions, economics and business. Students develop an understanding of the world in which they live, starting with the local environment, and learn how to become active and informed citizens in the 21st century.
Each year Waggrakine participates in outdoor learning day, where most of the classrooms plan for ongoing classes taking place in the school grounds rather than in the classroom. For many learning about the environment and its importance is a valued focus. It is great to have our parents come along and join in the day.
